309 Exploration Area
309 Lead and Zinc Exploration in the area of 13.28 Km2 is located about 35 km west of Khomein city in the province of Markazi. Geological and Geochemical studies consist of tectonic, stratigraphy, remote sensing applied along Jurassic carbonate units by field observation and precise investigation of AMMCO’ professional experts. In order to achieve geochemical data acquisition, stream sediment sampling were taken from mineralization outcrops and processed in geographic information software (GIS). In the following, geochemical and heavy minerals were determined for target elements such as lead, zinc and barium and based metals, then, the control points determined due to detailed exploration. Results of exploration operations lead to recognition of a totally 29 veins with the mineralization of lead & zinc at the average total grade of nearly 10%.
